Winters had always been my most favourite time of the year. I love this season for food and the fresh veggies we get in this weather. One such veggie which is my favourite is Green peas. Mom had lots of recipes associated with this veggie and she would love to prepare for us. Hare matar ki dal is authentic and traditional dal preperation from uttar pradesh and enjoyed in all households. As winter lingers on , lets relish on these fresh green peas preperation

Ingredients to make fresh green peas dal.
Green peas 1 kg
Garlic cloves 8-10
Method to make fresh green peas dal.
1- Boil the green peas and grind it into a fine paste
2- Heat a pan and add 3-4 tsp ghee.
3- Add cumin seeds , Chopped garlic , asofetida and cook fpr 10 seconds.
4- Add green peas paste and cook for 2 mins on a medium flame.
5- Add 4-5 cups warm water and mix.
6- Add salt and cook on a medium flame for 20-25 mins.
7- Once done add 2 tsp ghee and serve it hot with rice.
