This easy-to-make and delicious chicken recipe has the same taste and flavours which you get to eat on roadside dhabas. Try this Dhaba-style Spicy Chicken recipe on special occasions like kitty parties, pot lucks and even on family get-togethers.

Ingredients to make Dhaba style chicken curry.
1- 750 Gms Chicken( I used only chicken legs)
4- Green chillies
5- Coriander seeds
6- Black peppercon
7- Cumin seeds
8- Fennel seeds
9- Green cardamom
10- Black cardamom
11- Turmeric Powder
12- Coriander powder
13- Kashmiri Chilly powder
15- 5 medium sized onions finely chopped
16- 3 medium sized tomato puree
Tips to make the best Dhaba style chicken curry.
1- Use only fresh ingredients
2- Marinate the chicken at least for one hour
3- Use onions half the weight of chicken
Method to make the Dhaba style chicken curry
1- Wash the chicken at least 2-3 times.
2- Roughly grind 5-7 garlic cloves , Ginger 1 inch and 2 chilles.
3- Heat a pan and add 1 tsp salt , 2 tsp coriander seeds , 2 tsp cumin seeds , 3 tsp black peppercon , 3-4 black cardamom , 2-3 green cardamom. Roast it on a low flame for about 2 minutes until fragrant. Then grind it finely.
4-Heat a heavy base pan and add 7-8 tsp oil
5- Add 1 tsp cumim seeds and 2 black cardamom and let it crackle well.
6- Add Finely chopped onions and cook on a medium flame until nice and light brown.
7- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder , 2 tsp kashmiri chilly powder , 2 tsp coriander powder and cook on a medium flame for about 1 minute.
8- Add marinated chicken and cook a medium flame for 2-3 minutes, stirring gently in between.
9- Now add tomato puree and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
10- Add water as required ( i added 2 cups).
11- Cover with a lid and cook for about 25-30minutes, stirring occasionally in between.
12- Once chicken is completely cooked , garnish it with coriander leaves and green chillies.
13- Serve it hot with rice or tandoori roti.
