Aloo Matar Recipe – How to make aloo Matar
Potatoes and peas in a tomato puree sauce. It is very easy to make and add delight to any meal. The best thing is every ingredient is easily available.

Ingredients to make Aloo Matar
1 big onion
1 cup peas
4 potatoes peeled and chopped
Kashmiri Lal Mirch
Method to make aloo Matar
1- Grind Tomatao , onions and ginger with 1 cup water and make a nice paste.
2- Heat pressure cooker and and 4 tsp oil.
3- Add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
4- Add onion and tomato paste. Cook for 3 mins on a high flame.
5- Add salt , 1/2 tsp turmeric powder , 1 tsp coriander powder , 2 tsp garam masala , 1 tsp kashmiri lal mirch and mix it all. Cook for 5 minutes on a high flame and keep stirring in between.
5 – Add potatoes and peas, mix it well and cook it on a high flame for 1 minute.
6- Add 2 cups water and pressure cook for 3 whistles on a high flame..
7- Off the flame and let cooker depressurize naturally.
8- Add fenugreek leaves and coriander leaves.
9- Enjoy with hot chapati
