Masala Oats/Porridge Recipe – How to make masala oats

Ingredients to Make Masala Oats
2 Cups oats( I have used quaker oats)
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
Curry leaves
French beans finely diced
1/2 TSP turmeric powder
Salt as per taste
1 tsp chana dal
1 tsp urad dal
Mustard seeds

Metbod to make masala Oats
1- Heat a pan and add Mustard seeds,  Chana dal , urad dal and curry leaves. Let it all crackle nicely.
2- Add finely chopped onions and cook until soft.
3- Add tomatoes and salt.
4- Add turmeric and cook it all toegther for 3-4 mins.
5- Add beans, Peas and combine it all together. Cook for 2-3 mins on a medium flame.
5- Add 4 cups water and bring to a boil.
6- Add oats in batches and keep stirring.
7- Cover with a lid and cook for 5-7 mins on a low flame.
8- Serve it hot.

Note – You can add any vegetables in this based on your choice to make it more nutritious and tasty.
