Paneer Butter Masala Recipe – How to make Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer Butter Masala also known as butter paneer is a rich , creamy and delicious paneer dish prepared using butter. It is one of the most popular dish in restaurants similar to Kadai Paneer , palak Paneer and malai Kofta.

Ingredients to make Paneer Butter Masala
200 gms Paneer
100 gms Butter
2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilly powder
Salt as per taste
1 big onion finely chopped
I green chilly finely chopped
2 Tomatoes finely Chopped
1 Bay leaf
Ginger finely chopped
Garlic finely chopped
Fenugreek Leaves

Method to make Paneer butter Masala
1- Heat a pan and add butter.
2- Add Bay leaf.
3- Add finely chopped onion and cook for 2-3 mins.
4- Add garlic and ginger , cook until the raw smell goes off.
5- Add kashmiri chilly powder and cook for 20 seconds.
6- Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook for 1 minute. Add salt as per taste.
7- Add a dash of water, cover with a lid and cook for 20 mins on a low flame.
8- Add paneer and mix it gently until combined, cook for 1-2 minutes. Add 1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves, chopped coriander leaves.
9- Add 1/2 cup fresh cream and cook for 30 seconds.
10- Serve it hot with Chapati or Rice.
